Michael D. Donovan presented with the 2009 Vern Countryman Award for contributions to consumer law

Vern Countryman Award 

      Each year the National Consumer Law Center presents the Vern Countryman Consumer Law Award to a legal services or other public interest attorney whose special contributions to the practice of consumer law have strengthened and affirmed the rights of low-income Americans. Since the first award was presented in 1990, the Vern Countryman Award has quickly become the top honor for consumer attorneys. Winners include some of the most highly regarded consumer advocates in the country.   We are extremely proud that Michael Donovan was chosen to receive this prestigious award this year.

     The National Consumer Law Center is a national consumer law expert, helping consumers, their advocates, and public policy makers use powerful and complex consumer laws on behalf of low-income and vulnerable Americans seeking economic justice.
